Megan

Hi! I’m Megan. I'm a San Antonio-based communication professor and award-winning speechwriter. I’m so glad you’re here.

As far back as I can remember, I have loved the written and spoken word. My love for it began as a child when my mother gave me a tattered copy of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. As an adult it doesn’t matter if I’m reading a self-help book or listening to a pastor give an eloquent sermon – I can’t get enough.

I know what it’s like to become overwhelmed by the thought of public speaking and not know where to begin. I too have struggled to write and give great speeches. Early in my career, I even felt anxious getting up in front of a classroom to teach a lesson. Any time I was in front of a crowd, whether of my students, peers, or strangers, my imposter syndrome would tap me on the shoulder and remind me that they would see me as a fraud. Over time, I learned how to face and even befriend these fears. Today, I speak with confidence, my voice clear, shoulders back, and head held high.

Now that I’m on the other side, I want to help others learn how to manage those feelings with a sense of compassion. That’s why I started The Communication Revolution: to offer you a helping hand in bringing to life a speech you can deliver confidently. For more than a decade, I’ve worked with thousands of people to help them find their voices and overcome public speaking struggles to deliver impactful speeches with confidence, and I would love to work with you too.

Kylie

Hi, I’m Kylie. I’m an award-winning journalist, marketer, and storyteller with a passion for all things language.

I’ve also got a soft spot for food, international travel, and my dog, Lucy. I’ve always had a deep love for well-told stories.

As a child, I always had my nose in a book, but it wasn’t until I took a travel writing course in Cambodia that I realized that telling stories was what I was meant to do with my life.

During my time as a journalist at Axios Charlotte and WFAE as well as a marketer at agencies across the country, I got to tell a new story every day, honing my interviewing, writing, and storytelling skills. I was honored to be chosen as a winner at the 2017 North Carolina Press Association Awards for a profile feature on a single mother. As I brought her story to life, I learned that telling someone’s story isn’t just about putting words on paper but getting to know them on a deeper level.

When I write speeches, I ensure the speaker feels that their story is heard and respected. The Communication Revolution team and I promise to do the same when we work with you to create an authentic, custom speech. Your story, like you, is worthy of truly being heard – and it’s an honor and a privilege to help you tell it.
