Step 1: The Intake Call
We’ll spend some time exploring the goals you have for your speech and how The Communication Revolution can help you reach them. We can work on this face-to-face, over the phone, or on video.
During this meeting, we’ll spend some time finding out what your talk is about. All it takes is one question to really get things started: What do you want your audience to leave thinking about, and how do you want to support that idea?
Step 2: Outlining
Once we’ve determined what your talk is about and identified the supporting points, we’ll work on creating the bones of your speech using what we learned during the intake call.
We’ll send you a detailed outline complete with a rough idea of what your introduction, main points, and conclusion will look like. What you do with it is up to you: revise and fill it in where you’d like or leave it as-is.
Step 3: Drafting
Now it’s time to begin to shape what your speech will sound like.
Using our outline, we’ll put together the first draft of your speech. Nothing in this draft is set in stone; we like to look at it as a suggestion. At the end of the day, you can change as much or as little of it as you’d like. We’ll work with you until we get it right.
Once you’re satisfied, we’ll finalize it and format it in a way that makes it easy to memorize or read on stage.
Step 4: Practice
Once we’ve perfected your speech, I’ll equip you with the skills and techniques needed to give a memorable speech. How you present your idea matters. Your presentation, cadence, intonation, and even stance have to be just right, but we also know how debilitating stage fright can be. We’ll work together to help you overcome your nerves, command the stage, and deliver a powerful speech.
Step 5: Present!
